Online Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

This workshop was aimed to spread awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators, thereby enhancing necessary guidance about various procedures of patent application filing.
Objectives of this workshop was to give a deeper insight into Intellectual Property Rights and to address the gaps present in between innovation to IPR filings & protection to enforcement.

Participants understood Law related to IP Infringement, Different IPs, patent filing and drafting. Participants got knowledge about How to get financial benefits from IP Rights and Government schemes financially supporting IP initiatives in INDIA
About Speaker:
Dr. Dipti D. Patil is currently working as Associate professor in Information Technology department at MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune.
She is registered patent attorney of India. She has wide experience of patent drafting and filing. Dr. Dipti consults on national and international patent drafting and filing.
She is recipient of various honors & awards. She is awarded as 'Best Teacher' for year 2020, "Best Innovation Award" for year 2021 by Savitribai Phule Pune University, “Best Professor in IT” award by Dewang Mehta education foundation and “Most commendable Project” award by NES Innovation awards 2020.
With 19 years of rich experience in academics and research Dr. Patil is serving as member, board of studies of Information Technology at Savitribai Phule Pune University, VIIT, Pune, AISSMS IOIT, Pune and St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, RTM Nagpur University.
She has on her name 2 granted patents one national and 1 international and also filed various patents in her research area. She has authored books in areas of Data Structures and Mobile healthcare. She has many research articles to her credit, which are published at various national and international Journals and conferences with good indexing. Dr. Patil is life member of professional bodies like CSI, ISTE and ASI. She is contributing as editor, reviewer, Session Chair & committee member to various international conferences and Journals. Dr. Dipti has delivered expert talks on various subjects at various International & national level lecture series, STTPs, Seminars & Workshops for academics and industry. Her areas of special interests include patenting, innovations, mobile healthcare, analytics, data science, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT).
Dr. Dipti is a recognized PhD Supervisor in Computer Science and Engineering at Savitribai Phule Pune University. 2 research scholars have completed their PhD under her guidance and 5 are pursuing their PhD in the area of machine intelligence, healthcare and autonomous space missions.
Dr. Dipti is currently carrying funded research in the area of “Autonomous Space Missions” in collaboration with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), U.R. Rao Satelite Centre, Banglore.
Dr. Dipti Patil's vision is to motivate students and faculty to pursue research which will be innovative and helpful to society. The research which is productive and help community to live quality, healthy life.
