Objectives of the Activity • To raise awareness about the importance of mental well-being and its impact on overall health and quality of life. • To reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues and create an environment where individuals feel comfortable discussing their mental health. • To educate participants about the basics of mental health, including common mental health conditions, symptoms, and risk factors. • To provide strategies for managing stress effectively and developing resilience in the face of life's challenges. • To teach emotional regulation techniques that help individuals manage their emotions in a healthy and constructive manner. Execution of Activity: Guest Speaker introduced self-care practices that promote mental well-being, such as mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation exercises. Guest Speaker emphasized the importance of healthy relationships and effective communication in supporting mental well-being. Guest speaker conducted breathing exercise for anger management Outcomes Students understood practical coping strategies for dealing with life's challenges, including personal and professional stressors. Helped individuals to recognize warning signs of deteriorating mental health, in themselves and others, and take appropriate action. Addressed the importance of mental well-being in the workplace, emphasizing the role of employers and employees in creating a mentally healthy work environment. Provided knowledge and resources for suicide prevention and crisis intervention, including how to support someone in a mental health crisis.
